A year and a half after we all left our offices and moved to hunkering down at home, the coronavirus is still impacting all aspects of our lives as the new Delta variant rears its ugly head around the city, state and the rest of the world.
Weddings are still being impacted, but local venues and professionals are doing their best to make sure local and visiting couples are still getting the New Orleans experience when they say, “I do.”
One of those locations is Warehouse District hotel Maison de la Luz. Maison de la Luz recently announced a wedding buyout package option for local and visiting couples looking to keep themselves and their guests as COVID safe as possible.
The package, as we’re sure most of you have guessed, includes buying out the hotel in its entirety. The hotel includes 67 suites, several social spaces, cocktail lounge Bar Marilou and more that support events from 30-200 guests.
In addition to the utilizing the space and hotel rooms for two nights, the buyout includes 25 hotel rooms for a third night, complimentary champagne for up to five guests, wedding photography at a $2,500 value, and a ceremony and reception across Bar Marilou, the living room and the main entrance hallway and staircase that includes the food and beverage minimum for the hotel.
Exclusively for the couple saying, “I Do,” the hotel buyout includes round trip airport transfer for couples coming from out of town and in-room couples massage and complimentary breakfast for the day after the wedding.
The entire buyout cost comes out to a pretty penny, but the amount of amenities included – as well as buying out the entire hotel for two days – makes the $170,000 price tag an easier check to write.

An entire hotel takeover not only makes for a great story for years to come, but also helps ease the worry of the lingering Delta variant of COVID-19.
