NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Toups Family Meal (TFM), Chef Isaac and Amanda Toups’ 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to fighting food insecurity in New Orleans, will host its second annual Easter Drive on Good Friday, Friday, April 18. On this day, TFM and a team of volunteers will distribute grocery boxes to 2,000 New Orleanians, empowering them to cook a beautiful Easter dinner at home. The team says this initiative, “Doing Good on Good Friday,” aims to provide a festive and dignified holiday meal for families in need.
The grocery boxes will include the ingredients for a hearty Easter Dinner – featuring a whole chicken, potatoes, butter, milk, collard greens, bread and dessert. This thoughtful effort is designed to give parents the tools to cook a meaningful meal for their families and to create quality family time in the kitchen during the holiday.
Isaac and Amanda are seeking funds to continue their efforts and supply even more families with meals. To support this initiative, donate by clicking here. To register as a volunteer driver, click here. Follow Toups Family Meal on social media @toupsfamilymeal
