Trying a New Fashion Trend: The Barrel Pant

I don’t venture blindly into every fashion trend. But on occasion, it feels like taking a leap of faith might pay off. Maybe a new style of pants will flatter my body in such a way that I deem all other pants unnecessary? Just think of the things I might accomplish with the confidence gained wearing this new style! It’s with this mentality that I consider trying… the barrel pant. If you are unfamiliar, Vogue defines them as a style that “hugs the hips, offers the nonchalant coolness of baggier styles throughout the thighs, peaks in circumference around the knees, and regains its elegance by tapering off at the ankles.” I admit, trying such a unique silhouette (outside of horseback riding) isn’t for the faint of heart. But as they say, you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. So, here’s to hitting the bullseye!
