Q: What was your greatest challenge? A: Our greatest challenge was building a new, mortgage free home for a wounded U.S. Army veteran. We partnered with Operation Finally Home, a non-profit dedicated to this cause. Our subs and vendors came together to volunteer/donate their time and materials to make this happen. This was exciting for us, but also very humbling. There wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd when we presented the family with the keys to their new home.
Q: What do you enjoy most about your job? A: The satisfaction of seeing an empty lot turn into a dream home for a family is extremely enjoyable. Being a family owned business, we take great pride in the product we produce. We are happy to say that many clients have become lifelong friends. The biggest compliment we can receive is when we are recommended to their family and friends.
Q: What is the best feedback you received? A: Upon completion of a custom home, one couple told us they had heard horror stories about building. They couldn’t believe how smooth and stress free the project was. During initial meetings, we explain how important it is to make selections prior to beginning construction. In doing so, this takes the stress out of the process and enables clients to sit back and watch their dream home take shape.
Q: What types of projects are the most fun? A: Building for families with children has been a favorite of ours. For several years, we built for two families with twins, and one family with triplets. It is fun to watch the children on site asking questions and seeing where their rooms will be in the new home. Often, the kids choose their own bedroom paint colors, and their excitement is contagious.
