Friday, July 12, 5 – 9 p.m.: Friday Nights at NOMA takes on a Gallic theme with
French Fête, featuring music by Susanne Ortner’s Ambiance Française, a cooking demonstration by Café NOMA’s culinary curator Chris Montero, a movie, puppet show, and tours of the French collection, along with other programming for visitors of all ages.
Saturday, July 13, 2 p.m.: As part of an ongoing
Artist’s Choice Film Series in conjunction with
Bodies of Knowledge, artist Garrett Bradley will introduce
Sidewalk Stories, a largely silent movie from 1989 that tells the story of a young African American man raising an orphaned girl after her father is murdered. The film is a modern adaptation of Charlie Chaplin’s
The Little Tramp.
Friday, July 19, 5 – 9 p.m.: Iraqi artist Wafaa Bilal will deliver a lecture during
Friday Nights at NOMA about his interactive installation
