NEW ORLEANS (press release) – This year, Upturn Arts – a local arts organization providing “arts for all” programs in dance, music, visual art and theater – is celebrating 15 years of inspiring creativity in New Orleans youth at their upcoming gala on Thursday, Nov. 13. The Appetite for Art Gala, presented by the Oscar J. Tolmas Charitable Trust, will feature student performances with Grammy-nominated Cha Wa, a seated dinner catered by Capulet, and both silent and live auctions featuring original artwork from New Orleans’ artists all in support of arts education and youth programming.
