Urban South Brewery Releases 3 New Beers

NEW ORLEANS – Urban South Brewery announced this week that it will release three new beers Friday, March 15. Customers interested in trying the new beers can stop by Urban South Brewery at 1645 Tchoupitoulas St. starting at noon on Friday. You can try the beers on draft or in cans and there will be a fix flight for customers to try all three flavors.

In a Facebook event about the release, Urban South had this to say about the new beers:

POP!

"We wanted to bring you a refreshing sour ale and this is it! Loads of sweet orange, soft acidity with a pop of mimosa at the end! Grab a porch, Grab a Pop!"

ABV: 4.5% / IBU: 10

Beachbum Gose

"We couldn't think of anyone better to get our tiki on with, than our friends at Beachbum Berry's Latitude 29 right here in New Orleans. We huddled together over a few tiki drinks and decided to brew a few different gose style beers and this is the first of our joint efforts with Latitude. The name of the beer is the nickname of Jeff Berry, owner of Latitude 29, who is one of the most influential tiki cocktail mixologists in the world. Beachbum Gose is a nod to their namesake cocktail, Latitude 29, it was aged on Passionfruit with a touch of citrus and finished with Vanilla. Layers of tropical fruits and acidity are softened and sweetened by notes of vanilla! The original cocktail has tons of rich tropical fruits, citrus and a beautiful, velvety vanilla finish; it truly is worth visiting them and enjoying for yourself. We did our best to make the Bum proud!"

ABV: 5% / IBU: 10

Basil Street Blues Gose

"Pouring beautiful shades of pinkish purple this Gose is packed with Blueberry and Sweet Basil making a perfectly unique beer."

ABV: 4.5% / IBU: 10
