More than 1,200 patrons filled the Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden to support the live oak-dotted outdoor exhibit, which is free and open to the public daily.
More than 60 of New Orleans’ favorite restaurants served their best dishes during the evening. At the late-night party, food trucks provided fresh treats. Throughout the event, music and entertainment was provided by Helen Gillet, Mojeaux and DJ Jubilee.
The evening also featured the LOVE Cocktail Challenge, featuring eight craft cocktails from celebrated bartenders. Each bartender created a drink inspired by a variation of LOVE: Love/Hate, Unconditional Love, Lust or Unrequited Love. The challengers included Abigail Diedre Gullo of Compère Lapin, Paul Gustings of Broussard's, Chris Hannah of Arnaud's French 75, Chris McMillian of Kingfish, T. Cole Newton of Twelve Mile Limit, Kimberly Patton-Bragg of Three Muses, Daniel Victory of Victory and Steve Yamada of Latitude 29. All guests received two "tokens of love" at check-in and voted on their favorite cocktail by dropping their tokens in designated "love banks."
Event Chairs were Robyn and Andrew Schwarz and Margaret and Pierre Villere. At the Patron Party, NOMA director Susan Taylor honored local artists Dawn DeDeaux, Tina Freeman, Susan Gisleson, Delaney Martin, Chandra McCormick and Keith Calhoun.
