NEW ORLEANS (press release) – The Garden District Book Shop is honored to partner with New York Times bestselling author Antoni Porowski for a virtual event celebrating the release of his latest cookbook, “Antoni: Let’s Do Dinner.”
A television personality, author, home cook, actor, and model, Porowski is best known as the food and wine expert on Netflix’s Emmy Award-winning sensation Queer Eye. With a passion for food that is completely irresistible, he has also worked as a food consultant and private chef.
“Let’s Do Dinner” is an invitation into Porowski’s easy kitchen. Dinner with Antoni means satisfying meals full of clean protein and loads of vegetables, with splurges of carbs and decadence. Simple, yes, but always special. He keeps shopping lists short and steps and pans to a minimum. Porowski’s trademark inclusive and accessible approach to food will inspire both newbies and knowledgeable cooks to look at dinner differently.
The virtual event will begin at 7:00 PM CST and will be moderated by Olympic skater Adam Rippon. He will demo a recipe from the book, answer your kitchen questions about everything from simple but special post-work suppers to casual entertaining tips, and let you in on the secret weapons in every kitchen that get great food on the table fast.
Individual tickets are available for $33 and include a copy of the cookbook and access to the virtual event. Books can be picked up the day of the event at The Garden District Book Shop. Tickets can be purchased at Eventbrite. Recipe and event link will be emailed to attendees the day of the event.
There is also a donation based ticket tier that does not include a copy of the book but does grant access to the virtual event. Access to those tickets can also be found on Eventbrite.
