“Light Up The Night” raised more than $130,000 for Lighthouse Louisiana, which has provided services and employment to people who are blind and visually impaired for the last 100 years. The funds will create opportunities for success and employment for people with disabilities.
Approximately 400 patrons attended the event, where Jane Heidingsfelder, Jim Ashbee and Jim Perrier served as Co-Chairs. Travers Mackel served as emcee.
DJ Haywood Hillyer filled the St. Charles Avenue mansion with music as guests flowed throughout. Local restaurants provided an assortment of cuisine, including Martin Wine Cellar, Cava, Chez Nous, Arnaud’s French 75, Palace Café, Joel’s Grand Cuisine, Rum House, Dickie Brennan & Co. and Margo Bonauchaud Inc.
Key auction items ranged from jewelry from Adler’s, a Mitchell Gaudet glass sculpture, paintings by Ashley Longshore and George Dunbar, a custom men’s suit by Luca Falcone, a Miami South Beach condo stay and an at-home dinner for eight by Ralph Brennan Catering with rental equipment by Perrier Party Rentals.
