Wax-Tournillon WeddingThérèse Marie Wax and Jonathan Brady Tournillon were joined in Holy Matrimony on the evening of March 3, 2007, at the Chapel of the Academy of the Sacred Heart, New Orleans, where Reverend Norman O’Neal, S.J., officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Louis Wax. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph B. Delaney Jr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Edward Wax. The groom is the son of Ms. JoAnn Bacino Tournillon and the late Mr. Samuel Chopin Tournillon Jr. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Vincent Bacino and the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Chopin Tournillon Sr.

Escorted by her father, Thérèse wore a strapless, Christos A-line gown with re-embroidered Alencon lace adorning the bodice and encircling the hemline, with a taupe sash accenting the waist. Her dress and chapel length veil, which were purchased at Town and Country, were complimented by a bouquet of ivory and pale pink roses, calla lillies and lillies of the valley by Meade Wenzel, who designed all of the florals. Wax-Tournillon WeddingJoann Collins, Thérèse’s sister, presided as matron of honor. Bridesmaids included Caroline Condon, Stephanie de la Houssaye, Zia Kain, Andrea Pearce, Alice Trahant, and Sarah Yockey. Attendants wore strapless taupe gowns with blush sashes from Ballin’s Ltd. and carried bouquets of peonies, hydrangeas, and calla lilies. Samuel Tournillon and Todd Tournillon, brothers of the groom, served as the best men. Groomsmen included Neil Alford, Scott Duggins, Perry Eastman, William Gunther, Todd Johnson, Michael LeBourgeois, Christian O’Neil, Sean Pilie, John Roussel, Sean Sewell, William Thompson and Wayne Westerfield.
 
Wax-Tournillon WeddingFollowing the ceremony, a reception was held at the New Orleans Country Club where guests enjoyed music by Deacon John and The Ivories. Traditional New Orleans favorites were severed, including turtle soup, crabcakes and fried oysters with Tabasco buerre blanc.

Thérèse and Jonathan honeymooned in Mexico. They reside in Metairie where Jonathan is employed by Seatrax Marine Cranes as Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Thérèse is employed by Touro Infirmary.
