Each Wednesday, we tackle wedding etiquette. At times, it’s a reader question or one from a colleague, friend or family member and other times we’ll cover a popular issue. (Note: Questions may be edited for clarity and brevity.)

Question: I know it’s a no-no to put registry information on save the dates and invitations, but is it OK for couples to include a link to the wedding website?

Answer: You are correct about the rule of leaving registry details off of all wedding-related stationery and invitations. Couples want to avoid looking like they are soliciting gifts. But, it is A-OK to include the wedding website link. There often is so much valuable information included on the site and many of your guests will likely visit the site multiple times to confirm information, read about how the two of you met and fell in love, and, of course by default, get that registry info.
