Wediquette Wednesday: Who should I call if I forgot my wedding favor?

Each Wednesday, we tackle wedding etiquette. At times, it’s a reader question or one from a colleague, friend or family member and other times we’ll cover a popular issue. (Note: Questions may be edited for clarity and brevity.)

Question: I attended a wedding this weekend and forgot my favor on the table. I feel terrible about it, because the couple obviously went to a lot of trouble and expense to come up with a creative, fun and practical favor for us. I’d love to claim it, but am not sure who to contact about it. Who should I call if I forgot my wedding favor?

Answer: It’s likely that you aren’t the only one to have forgotten your favor. The couple probably has a few unclaimed goodies at their home, but in most cases it’s best to just let it go and not trouble them about it. There is a very slim chance that they even know you were one of the people who forgot to pick theirs up.
