Week of April 29: Jazz Fest, Gardening and more

Jazz Fest is here. The Stones are on their way and we are blown away by these outrageous (in the best way) papier mâché portrait scultptures at Home Malone. Talk about fan art! Head on over to check them out, and if these Mick or Keith heads aren’t for you, they’ve got these La Croix-inspired “Ya Boix” baseball hats, “Living my Fest Life” tie-dye tees and more to help you celebrate festival season in style.

We are also loving these “Meet Me at the Flagpole” tees from Dirty Coast. Pair it with this Louisiana florals fanny pack and this longitude and latitude hat and you’re good to head out to the Fairgrounds.

Stop by local craft brewers at Skeeta Hawk on your way to the fest for some refreshing brews and food pop-ups along the Lafitte Greenway. NOLA Beer Bus is also adding a special stop for those that want to hop on/hop off at the brewery, with a special giveaway on Wednesday, May 1 for bus passes for Saturday, May 5.

How does your garden grow? Whether you were born with a green thumb or are still learning, the New Orleans Public Library can help get you going this spring with their free (for cardholders) seed libraries. Check out their collection of herbs, veggies and flowers at these seven library branches.
