While spring is in full swing, it’s time to get summer camps in order! Nolita Bakery just debuted their new “Sweet Summer Baking Camp.” Classes (choose from Cupcake Craze or Cookie Carnival) will teach food and cooking safety, baking and decorating techniques, plus games and, of course, delicious tastings. Classes are designed for bakers ages 6 to 11 years old, and space is limited.
French Quarter Fest kicks off this Thursday and having the proper gear for it (and all the other fests coming up) is essential. Massey’s Outfitters is a great one-stop shop for sunglasses, rain gear, drink holders, water wicking socks and much more. Don’t get caught unprepared!
Music in the Garden continues with a pop-up performance in the Sydney Besthoff Sculpture Garden in City Park this Sunday, April 14, at 2 p.m. Marina Albero, Mollie Pate and the LPO Horn Sound will present a free concert, open to the public.
