Week of Feb. 24: Breakfast at Gracious Bakery, Chicken Biscuits at Juniors and more for Deep Gras

Deep Gras is here! As we all know, Carnival is a marathon, not a sprint, and it’s essential to stay properly fueled. Here are some ways to keep the party going.

We love starting our parade days with breakfast from Gracious Bakery. Their hearty breakfast Sammie (or cheddar biscuit or croissant or tasty pastry) is a must. Grab several to share with friends and family. Available at the St. Charles Avenue and Prytania Street locations.

Next up, lunch/dinner/all day snackies. Hot Stuff has a menu that will fill the hunger void and keep you on track through multiple parades. Choose from “fried chicken, smoked wings, chicken tenders, buffalo chicken tenders, mac and cheese, french fries, cheese fries and honey butter biscuits.”

To-go daiquiris are an essential part of the Carnival experience for many, and Gris-Gris to Go-Go has you covered with their purple, green and gold frozen king cake daiquiris. Made with “Gambino’s Rum Cream, white rum, spiced demerara, praline liqueur and amaretto.” Be sure to order in advance!

Juniors on Harrison has chicken biscuits, fried chicken parade boxes, grab-and-go daiquiri pouches and more to keep your crowd fueled, fed and happy. Order now through Lundi Gras.

It’s not too late to get your Carnival outfit glammed up and ready to roll. The Chloe has all the glitz and glamor at its Mardi Market, featuring more than 30 vendors with glitter, accessories, vintage finds, fashion forward attire and more.
