This year, I’m keep my eyes peeled for some of the great sustainable throws from Ground Krewe, like this crawfish/shrimp/crab boil season must-have lemon sugar hand scrub. Plus, all of their throws are made and packaged locally. It’s a Carnival win-win.

It’s a one-stop shop for Carnival, then stay a while and enjoy a cocktail and a bite or two at the hotel’s chic bar or restaurant.
Nolita, one of our new favorite places for baked goods, snacks and more, is reminding us to be sure to give back, even when we are celebrating. This Wednesday, Jan. 31, drop off your gently use, clean jackets, sweatshirts and blankets and receive a free slice of king cake. While you’re there, be sure to stock up on a big batch of cookies, brownies, fresh baked croissants and, of course king cake for the weekend’s festivities.
