Restaurant Week!
It may be hot outside, but it’s always cool at restaurants and eating establishments around town. Restaurant week is here! Locations across the city will highlight special menus, often with cool drinks, and seasonally fresh ingredients from across the region. Be sure to sign up for the “Restaurant Check-In Challenge.” A free mobile app will allow you to “check-in” when you dine out for points that can lead to prizes. For a list of participating restaurants check here. And be sure to tip well!
Chill out
Taste the rainbow and celebrate Pride with a frozen French 75 from Gris Gris, available in colorful half gallon containers ready to bring to the pool. Plus check out their whole line up of summer cocktails and grab-and-go specials. Why cook when you can let the pros do it for you?
Summer flowers
Feeling crafty? Learn how to make pressed summer seed and flower cards with Botany in Bloom at Sprout NOLA on Wednesday, June 21, 5:30- 7 p.m. It’s a great way to incorporate local blooms and buds into greetings made from the heart. And while you’re at it, mark your calendar for the Sprout NOLA and Lafitte Greenway “Dusk Meadow Walk” on Sunday June 25, 6 to 8 p.m. There will be a wildflower presentation and seeds, a special cocktail and information on Pollinator Week.
