Week of March 25: Freret Street Fest, Rosella and Easter

Spring is officially here, and so is festival season! Hitting the street this weekend is the annual Freret Street Festival, Saturday, March 30, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., stretching along Freret Street from Napoleon to Valmont. The Uptown neighborhood favorite will feature live music, arts and crafts, the Freret Market, performances by Mardi Gras Indians and lots of great food.

If you’ve given up alcohol for Lent (or if you just don’t imbibe), you’re in the home stretch. Until then, enjoy some tasty mocktails at Rosella in Mid-City, like their spicy watermelon marg or N/A Tom Collins. (They also have a full bar with lots of great concoctions and happy hour specials for those who are partaking). Stay for some delicious treats. Fried pickles? Yes, please!

Looking for some fresh goodies to fill those Easter baskets? Lionheart Prints has you covered, from cute pens to candles, decorations and more.

Celebrate Easter morning with some fresh baked, traditional hot cross buns. Gracious Bakery is your go-to stop for buns (and also pastries, croissants, bread and more), but be sure to plan ahead before they sell out.
