Beignet Fest fans celebrate this weekend! This Saturday, Nov. 16, the wildly popular festival returns to the New Orleans City Park Festival Grounds. Food vendors will feature an array of sweet and savory beignets, frozen treats, fried chicken, gumbo and much more. Plus, all proceeds benefit the Beignet Fest Foundation, whose mission is to celebrate, embrace and empower the lives of children with autism and their families. Win-win-win! New Orleans-based artist Emma Fick presents “From Within: A Contemporary Vision of Stained Glass” this Thursday, Nov. 14, 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Tulane University’s Howard-Tilton Library. The Friends of the New Orleans Public Library “Really Big Book Sale” at the Carriage House by the Latter Library, is this Saturday, Nov. 16, starting at 10 a.m. for members and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for everyone.
