Week of Sept. 23: Pizza, Stein’s and The Little Flea Market

Fall is for comfort food, and while the weather still feels like summer, we can still load up on some of our favorites, courtesy of Stein’s Deli. Cozy cult faves include limited edition knish (available one day a week, according to a recent post, usually Saturdays), Cowbell mac and cheese on Fridays and Saturdays, house made soup and more. Load up!

The Little Flea Market returns to the Hotel Saint Vincent this Sunday, Sept. 29, 12 to 5 p.m. with a fall shopping event featuring local arts and crafts, vintage finds, food, drinks, music and more. The market will also be open at its usual Mid-City warehouse location from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., so there’s plenty of ways to shop local and enjoy some flea market finds.

Pizza popup alert! If you’re looking to feed your pie craving or for a new way to feed you and your friends while watching the big game, head over to Motor City Mark’s Detroit-style popup. Order in advance and pick up at Liuzza’s by the Track each week. Recent menu items included a special cheeseburger pie, a pepperoni with caramelized cups aplenty and a melty mushroom option (and more).

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage month with Fiesta Latina at the Broadside NOLA this Sunday, Sept. 29, 4 to 9 p.m. The free fest is presented by the Stone Center for Latin American Studies at Tulane University & the Broadside, and will feature live music, a DJ set, food, cultural celebrations and more.

Bonus find for feline friends – the cutest man, er cat-on-the-street interviews in town are over on NOLA Neighborhood Cats. Check it out.
