Book worms, mark your calendars! Friends of the New Orleans Public Library hosts a mini-book fest at The Arts Market at City Park this Saturday, Sept. 14, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Check out their curated collection of used books at great prices and all for a good cause!

Gracious Bakery is sweet on September. All month long the Prytania Street location is celebrating National Honey Month with special baked goods and pastries made with buckwheat honey, honey sticks and unique honey-infused cocktails.

Many New Orleanians love all things crafts, including myself. That’s why I was excited when The Loose Ends Project came across my feed recently. The organization takes projects that were never finished due to the loss of a loved one or other life events, pairs them with a crafter who then completes it and mails it back. It’s a great off-Carnival season way to get crafty with a purpose.

What’s better than the classic combo of Champagne and fried chicken? Celebrate happy hour with this tasty treat at Picnic Provisions and Whiskey, Tuesday through Friday, 2 to 6 p.m. And maybe order extra to bring home? Sign us up!

Saints Sundays are back at Second Line Brewing in Mid-City. Head on over for some tasty brews, food pop-ups and more. Be sure to check their weekly calendar to find out what is coming up and what specials are on tap.
