The Ultimate Holiday Outfit

The ultimate holiday outfit. You know the one I’m talking about. That carefully selected ensemble that you wear to your favorite annual holiday event. I’ll always remember the cream-colored floor-length dress from Fred Segal that I splurged on in…

The Art of the Dinner Party

The art of hosting a dinner party is one that I aspire to master. A successful soirée requires an astute combination of organizational skills, cooking chops, mixology and, of course, creativity. For some people it’s an innate gift, like…

French Quarter Fashion

The next time you’re wandering the French Quarter post Arnaud’s or Galatoire’s lunch, do yourself a favor and squeeze in some shopping. As locals, we tend to avoid tourist areas and assume that every retail store past Canal Street…

Holiday Cheer With Holiday Shopping Around The City

One of the most enjoyable ways to get into the holiday spirit is to attend a special shopping event. There’s nothing more heartwarming than the reappearance of holiday garland, twinkling ornaments and the smell of cinnamon and pine welcoming…

’Tis The Holiday Card Season

Can we get a minute to recover from Halloween? Nope. The holiday cards are coming! In my humble experience, it’s best to get in front of these labors of love before you’re too deep into November. If you get…
