Where Travis Kelce Should Eat in New Orleans During the Eras Tour

Taylor Swift is set to make her mark on New Orleans with her three-day concert experience in the Caesars Superdome this weekend. However, it was her boyfriend – Kansas City Chiefs football player Travis Kelce – that was making headlines recently for a few comments that left a “pooey” taste in the mouths of anyone that loves New Orleans cuisine. The tight end made comments about the city’s food on the podcast he hosts with his brother following the Saints game against the Chiefs. In talking about what we believe was gumbo, Kelce said that jambalaya is just “soupy rice,” doubling down later saying the food is “pooey” due to it’s color.

While people can say what they want about our city, what we do not respond kindly to is coming after our food. This week, we tapped our entire staff for restaurant recommendations that will ensure Travis Kelce, or anyone else, can imply that our food is anything other than delicious.

Special shoutout to Clancy’s – a staff favorite at Renaissance Publishing.
