Even more painful than the Saints’ dismal 3-13 record last season was the thought of our team playing its home games in another town.
Lest anyone forget, the Saints are of and about New Orleans. The franchise was created because of the Superdome; the team’s name draws from our music; the fleur-de-lis on the helmet is from the city’s heritage.
New Orleanians have also given the team their passion. Pictured here are the fans of a team that has only won one play-off game in its history. Imagine if the Saints were a consistent winner. The celebrations would be long and loud and would be heard across the region – even as far as San Antonio.
