Wine Spectator’s Grand Tour Wine Tasting Event Comes to New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Wine Spectator, the world’s leading authority on wine, announced its annual wine-tasting event, Grand Tour, is coming to a brand new location this year: New Orleans, taking place on Friday, April 26, at the New Orleans Marriott.

Wine Spectator’s Grand Tour is known for bringing some of the best wines from around the globe to three top food and wine destinations every year, and 2024 will be the first time the event is held in New Orleans. Known for its food and wine scene, New Orleans is home to over 20 Wine Spectator Restaurant Award winners—including three Grand Award-winning restaurants: Emeril’s, Commander’s Palace and Brennan’s. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the city and taste over 230 incredible wines, all rated 90+ points on Wine Spectator’s 100-point scale.

“We wanted to bring the event and the exceptional wineries that participate to new cities and wine lovers across the country,” said Marvin R. Shanken, editor and publisher, Wine Spectator. “New Orleans is the perfect city to start our 2024 tour, and we’re excited to offer locals and visitors an extraordinary wine experience.”

Grand Tour New Orleans will kick off on April 26, as the Crescent City celebrates the annual New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival two weeks of musical, cultural and culinary revelry. A ticket provides an evening of unlimited tasting and allows attendees to meet and mingle with winemakers from top regions around the world, including those of France, Italy, Portugal, California and beyond.

Las Vegas and Denver are also stops on this year’s Grand Tour, taking place on May 4 and May 11 respectively. All three events are hosting top wineries and many Top 100 honorees from 2023 and years past. While wine is center stage, each of these locations have been carefully chosen for guests to make the most of each host city’s dining scene as well.

General Admission tickets are available online, with a VIP option for guests wishing to enjoy an extra hour of tastings

A comprehensive list of top wines and wineries participating in the event will be announced soon at grandtour.winespectator.com.
