Dreams really did come true at New Orleans Museum of Art’s 44th Odyssey Ball on Friday, November 13. The Odyssey Ball is NOMA’s largest annual fundraising event and helped kick off the opening of the highly anticipated Walt Disney exhibition “Dreams Come True.”

While at the ball, guests were able to view more than 600 original artworks from classic fairy tales and Disney’s newest edition, The Princess and the Frog. The Odyssey Ball brought many childhood memories alive, while creating an excitement for the newest Disney princess who’s, of course, a native New Orleanian. Lori and Kevin Frischhertz were ball co-chairs while Charlotte and Marc Hebert were patron party co-chairs for this outstanding event. Leah Chase was an honorary co-chair for the event.

Jeremy Davenport as well as Terrance Simien played at the patron party while Vieux Carre performed during the ball. Palate of New Orleans catered the event with full buffets on two floors of NOMA. The buffets followed the themes of the artwork, including a very original The Little Mermaid under the sea buffet consisting of caviar and sushi. The Odyssey Ball held both live and silent auctions. The live auction included a Liechtenstein print donated by Walt Disney and a cocktail party on the roof of NOMA, while the silent auction consisted of art, antiques, fabulous trips and jewelry.
