Lisa Alexis has built a dynamic career spanning communications, marketing, government, and media, including work with WWL-TV’s morning news. Since 2019, she has served as Director of the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Economy (OCE) and now proudly leads as the full-time President and CEO of the New Orleans Tourism and Cultural Fund (NOTCF).
At both OCE and NOTCF, Lisa has played a key role in delivering major cultural events for Mayor LaToya Cantrell’s administration, from festival partnerships to Mardi Gras celebrations and the NOTCF Honors Gala. These efforts have contributed to the city’s $2 billion economic impact annually, affirming the arts as a vital force in New Orleans’ economic and social landscape.
Now in her full-time leadership role, NOTCF is launching initiatives to ensure cultural funding reaches all—from large festivals to individual artists—reflecting the belief that “Culture Is Our Open Door.”
Among these efforts is the upcoming Elevation Series, developed with local partners to equip artists and organizations with tools, insights, and support. NOTCF is also preparing to introduce the Cultural Information System (CIS)—a digital platform that helps cultural producers promote, monetize, and grow their work online through their own digital web page while accessing valuable business resources.
Lisa’s leadership ensures that New Orleans’ cultural community remains vibrant, visible, and economically impactful. To learn more about all NOTCF resources and events, please visit notcf.com.Â
