Katie Acuff, Esq., spent her first year as President and CEO of the LSU Health Foundation shepherding in a transformational realignment to focus on fundraising priorities supporting LSU Health New Orleans’ advancement of research, healthcare, and education across Louisiana. Her bold vision and strategic leadership have resulted in a greater than three-fold increase in giving to the Foundation, and more growth is in the future — from strategic hires to modern data analytics and expanded constituent outreach.
Acuff has quickly become a stalwart advocate for LSU Health New Orleans’ pursuit of National Cancer Institute (NCI) designation — an achievement that will place Louisiana at the forefront of cancer research, expanded treatment innovation, recruitment of top talent, and access to groundbreaking clinical trials. For families across our state, NCI designation means greater access to life-saving and cutting-edge therapies close to home.
