A boutique interior design firm with a personalized touch, Maureen Stevens Design has made a name for itself through its dedication to detail, a perceptive eye for unique presentation, and the lifelong artistic obsessions of its founder.
Maureen Stevens found her way to interior design through a circuitous route that swerved through the healthcare industry, where the lack of personal expression left her desperate for more. After taking a planned sabbatical and reassessing her perspective, Stevens took a calculated risk and bet on herself and her talents.
“After a long time in healthcare, I knew I wasn’t being my authentic self,” says Stevens. “That realization stirred a slew of childhood memories of being obsessed about making sure a space looks good, even if it’s just a bedside table. In short, the right side of my brain was having a transformative experience and wanted to run free.”
After a soft launch of her endeavors as a design blogger, Stevens decided to make her dreams a reality and began Maureen Stevens Design; a space where her wildest design aspirations could be realized.
“I handle every creative detail of the design process,” says Stevens. “Design is about people and how they experience their surroundings. My goal is to curate that experience for them that’s very specific and personal”.
