On Aug. 8, New Orleans Magazine celebrated its “Top Female Achievers” for 2006 with a luncheon at the Omni Royal Orleans. Starting at 11 a.m., more than 100 guests arrived and sipped champagne at the reception preceding the luncheon and awards ceremony. Sponsored by Adler’s, Fetzer Vineyards, Korbel champagne, Thibodaux Regional Medical Center and the Omni Royal Orleans Hotel, the event raised $2,000 for Grace House, a facility that provides long-term residential treatment— regardless of ability to pay—to chemically dependent women so they can lead sober and productive lives.
