On November 5, patrons of Poydras Home got a sneak peek at the home’s 16th Annual Art Show & Patron Party.

Individual tickets cost $100 and sponsorships were also available. The event kicked off the fundraiser weekend and offered guests the first opportunity to purchase juried art.

More than 2,500 works of art from local and regional artists were displayed and sold throughout the property. Inside the main building, juried art and photography were hung while tents with non-juried art and fine crafts filled the grounds outside. While guests browsed, they munched on hors d’oeuvres from Patti Constantin and listened
to the sounds of Uptown band Flambeaux.

Cathy and Morris Bart with Vivian and Richard Cahn chaired the event that raised more than $70,000 for a new 150-kilowatt emergency generator for the home. Past shows helped with the purchases of therapeutic hydra-spas for residents and new passenger vehicles.
