Youth Speak On Mental Health & The Global Pandemic At The 7th Annual Dance For Social Change Festival

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Dancing Grounds, an award-winning nonprofit, presents the 2021 Dance for Social Change (DSC) Festival. The festival centers around the premiere of the DSC Teen Company’s original dance film Ya Heard Meh? Youth Stories in a Global Pandemic that urges audiences to listen to young people about how the global pandemic is affecting their mental health and wellness. These brilliant teen artists explore oscillating emotions while navigating COVID-19 restrictions alongside the heavy social and political climate of the country. The festival will include outdoor events at the Broadside Theater, indoor screenings at The Broad Theater, and virtual access to the film on Dancing Grounds’ website with free, sliding scale, and fundraising ticket options.
